Stanton Street Shul
Rose Window

In collaboration with Larry Gordon Stained Glass Studio, we were proud to restore the historic Stanton Street Shul's Rose Window (circa 1910), which had suffered extensive damage.
Using the window's viable components as our guide, we replicated the remainder of the design in our wood shop. We then worked collaboratively to replace the stained glass and reinstall at the Shul.
Octavio Medellin
Stained Glass
In 2014, we partnered with van Enter Studio to remove unique stained glass windows by renowned artist Octavio Medellin from Dallas Trinity Lutheran Church. The church has since been demolished to make way for a new YMCA.
After careful restoration work was complete, Studio Bechtold helped reinstall these pieces, housed in new, custom metal frames and lightboxes, at the Dallas City Performance Hall. van Enter Studio installed others at Dallas Love Field Airport.

Millard Sheets
Mercantile Dallas Mosaics

Studio Bechtold consulted on van Enter Studio's ambitious removal of mosaics by artist Millard Sheets from the Mercantile Building in Dallas in 2006, just prior to the building's demolition.
Carefully removed and restored, these mosaics have now found a second life at the Joule Hotel, where they were installed by van Enter Studio.
Union Sation, Dallas
Cast Iron Façade
​Studio Bechtold worked side by side with van Enter Studio to restore the cast iron façade and mosaic murals at Dallas' Union Station. Entire sections of the façade had been removed during past renovations, and we worked under tight timelines to rebuild them. Once complete, our work was indistinguishable from the original.
The project received an Award of Excellence in Texas Construction, Best of 2009 from the Dallas Historical Society.

Historic Bank Safes
​
Studio Bechtold has helped restore a number of historic bank safes in Texas in partnership with van Enter Studio. These projects require the scientific knowledge of a chemist and the delicate motor skills of an artisan. Typically, layers of paint must be removed one by one (using carefully-chosen solvents). They've been known to reveal beautiful works of art beneath, including gold leaf, pinstriping or chrome-plated finials.
The materials used and the skills required to restore historic safes date back more than a century. Thanks to our founder's training as a fine artist, we're proud to say we can do this work.
Arnaldo Pomodoro
Grand Sphere
The Studio Bechtold team was proud to collaborate with van Enter Studio to restore this Pomodoro treasure, the centerpiece of a collection owned by the American Republic Insurance Company in Des Moines.
Michael van Enter is foremost in the field of metal restoration and patination. His work on this sculpture serves as a prime example of his expertise.
