Caudalie
Retail Interiors

Studio Bechtold has built multiple retail interiors for natural beauty products company Caudalie, including the brand's store at the World Trade Center (Westfield Mall) in NYC.

Other locations included Washington DC, New York City, Miami (Aventura), and Montreal (Laval).

As a true expression of Caudalie's branding, these organically-themed environments feature the beauty of natural wood and marble and include spa features like functional sinks.

The Treehouse Exhibit

Studio Bechtold has built several custom exhibits for lifestyle personality Evette Rios (former host of CBS' Restaurant Rehab and correspondent on ABC’s The Chew). Few have been more popular than "The Treehouse," which featured a dramatic hewn-wood staircase, a first-level lounge (with hammock), and an upper-level dining area.

Superdry
Corporate & Retail Interiors

After contributing elements to several Superdry locations, Studio Bechtold fabricated interiors for the brand's corporate headquarters in Manhattan, an environment that connected seamlessly with its adjacent retail space.

Brooklyn Nets
Pre-game Player Intro Environment

Studio Bechtold has experience building custom broadcast set pieces, including those that include lighting components. Most recently, we built this player spotlight box, used by the Nets to produce short video sequences to introduce each player to viewers at home.

Interactive Exhibit

Studio Bechtold, working with partners Leon Dewan (musical inventor) and Aaron Meadow (lighting professional), brought Evette Rios' charity dinner exhibit to life with a one-of-a-kind interactive.

The exhibit's tabletop, featuring Moen hardware, housed a custom synthesizer. Visitors could change the instrument's tempo, rhythms and frequencies with the twist and flip of every switch, handle and dial.

With this effect, the environment echoed the visual harmony and clean functionality that Moen brings to the home. It also got visitors in literal touch with the products' tangible quality.

Multiple Clients
Custom Retail Displays

Studio Bechtold has collaborated on retail display projects for Chanel (fine jewelry), Assouline and others. These projects require master crafstmanship and custom crating.

Increasingly, display assignments include lighting and electrical components. Studio Bechtold partners regularly contribute to these projects, offering clients one seamless solution.

The Comma Dining Pod

Marc Blackwell's whimsical design featured a comma between diners to honor the many individuals who have joined together to fight HIV/AIDS. Studio Bechtold worked with Blackwell's team to develop the engineering plan for the exhibit, and frequent partner Aaron Meadow lent his lighting design talents to give the space a warm, inviting glow.

The exhibit was featured in Architectural Digest.

Residential Client
White Oak Staircase

Studio Bechtold takes on occasional residential projects, usually to build and install an environment's defining feature. We fashioned the specially-designed white oak treads for this dramatic wood and steel staircase in a Connecticut home.

Custom Crating &
Remote Installation Instructions

Our projects regularly require careful, custom shipping, sometimes to installation crews who will help see projects to completion. We've built custom crates for everything from retail display components to delicate sculptures, and we're clear communicators when it comes to detailing how to finish the job right.
